Job Overview:
This position is for a sourcing analyst on the Electronic Component team. Responsibilities will be to work closely with the commodity manager(s) to set overall strategy and execute that strategy for the component commodity. This includes sending out RFPs, gathering documentation, communicating clearly with suppliers, peers, leadership and other internal teams, organizing compliance requirements and executing final contract. Sourcing process experience and background will be required for this role. This individual will sit at Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA or Charlotte, NC. Opportunity to be temp to firm position.
Travel Required: Minimal Travel, estimate 5%
Primary Responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Obtain access to Ariba, SAP, Power Steering, Sourcing Part Library, HRC Citrix, or any other necessary Collins platforms / systems. Access already available preferred
  
  
• 
  High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  
  
• 
  High proficiency in navigation of systems and processes
  
  
• 
  Ability to multi-task several projects and manage priorities
  
  
• 
  Sense of urgency to hit project deadlines
  
  
• 
  Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively through various levels of the organization
  
  
• 
  Support commodity manager RFQ process (identify parts list, input system information for RFQ, complete quality RFQ analysis, and make recommendation of strategy)
  
  
• 
  Support commodity manager compliance documentation and contract execution
  
  
• 
  Assess market trends to assist in recommendation of strategies
  
  
• 
  Exposure to supply chain
  
  
• 
  Works with limited oversight from leadership (self-motivated)
  
  
• 
  Ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  
  
  Basic Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor's degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
    
    
  • 
    Must be willing and able to travel 5% of the time
    
    
  • 
    Must be a U.S. Citizen
    
    
  • 
    Awareness of Supply Chain practices and Commodity Management
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications

      Experience with Electronic Components

      Strong Analytical skill (Excel, Access database, SAP, Ariba)
