This entry level Electrical Reliability Engineer will be supporting
the Collins Aerospace Reliability, Maintainability and Safety (RMS)
function. The successful applicant will join an established RMS
team with the objective of learning and applying modern reliability
engineering techniques as part of developing a professional career
in RMS engineering. This role will expose the engineer to avionics
life-cycle aspects from concept, development, manufacture and
certification to ongoing field support. The products and systems
that the engineer will be exposed to span multiple areas of
commercial aviation including, but not limited to: communication,
navigation, weather radar, flight controls and fire protection. The
role includes significant opportunity for career advancement and
learning from experienced RMS professionals.
Position will be hybrid, located in Cedar Rapids, IA
Primary Responsibilities:
Learning how to analyze complex avionics systems to develop
reliability assessments
Learning how to analyze complex avionics systems to develop FMECA's
and FMEA's
Learning how to develop production screening processes (ESS) for
products entering production.
Learning how to develop Reliability Enhancement Testing (RET) to
confirm design robustness. This will include supporting lab
experiments in environmental chambers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional
work experience (excluding internships)
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is
required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized
to access information under this program/contract.
