  • Work with the maintenance team to convert designs into technical plans.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers and maintenance personnel to gather equipment and structural requirements and designs.
  • Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
  • Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate work-flow
  • Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the maintenance team
  • Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned QualificationsQualified candidates for the Drafting Technician position should possess the following:
    • Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
    • Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD)
    • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
    • Good math skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Degree or certificate from a college in Drafting
    • Organizational Skills
    • Self-motivated, self-directed, self-starter
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
