Job DescriptionThe Material Handler II - Receiving position
performs general labor tasks in association with receiving and
movement of material. Receives materials into the facility and into
the ERP system, stocks materials in location, picks and stages
material in order to support production and shipping schedules.
Assists with special projects (i.e. re-organizing work areas,
erecting racks, cycle counts).Key ResponsibilitiesRESULTSCritical

- Effectively communicates with co-workers and internal

- Unloads trucks and accurately records transactions in company's
ERP (JDE) system and stocks materials in location in a timely
manner. Maintains the integrity of count and inventory
locations.
- Verifies identification of materials to be moved,
cross-references with production schedule or shipping schedule, and
safely moves to required location.
- Reports inconsistencies and non-conformances to Supervisor,
Purchasing or Quality. Productivity / Job Knowledge 20%
- Lifts and moves materials safely to designated area while
following shop floor order instructions regarding all
processes.
- Works from a pack list or order pick list to receive and pull
parts accurately, on-time or ahead of schedule, and stages
materials for other shifts as needed, while adhering to Material
Handler standard operating procedures to maintain consistency
across all work centers.
- Troubleshoots and reconciles all inventory issues for both
purchased and manufactured materials.
- Effectively works cross departmentally with little to no
supervision.
- Serves as a backup for unloading steel trucks and parts
shipping.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area, performs required PM's
on machines and equipment and reports all non-conformities to Line
Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance until the problem has been

and Essential Skills:
- 3+ years of related material handling or inventory control
experience required.
- Previous forklift, truck/trailer experience, required.
- Ability to read tape measure up to 1/32", and ability to
interpret dial caliper measurements and hand tools as needed.
- Intermediate computer skills are required; must be able to use
computer systems to look-up information, clock-in/clock-out, and
report work activities, and communicate via email within the
organization. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required,
and Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
- Good math skills are required; ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals.
- ERP experience is a plus.Physical Requirements:The physical

required to balance, climb ladders, or work on platforms to access

regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne
particles, and vibration, and occasionally exposed to risk of
electrical shock. Employee may be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
Employee is required to wear steel toed shoes, gloves, and safety
glasses. The noise level in the plant shop environment is
moderately loud. May prepare hazardous waste for shipment off site
and participates in annual hazardous waste training.
