Aerospace is currently searching for a Systems Engineer II to join
our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. As a systems engineer in the Avionics
Computing Products department, you will be part of a
multi-functional team comprised of systems and hardware engineers
leading the development of all computing products for the Avionics
Business Unit. Job Responsibilities:Capture system requirements,
design, test cases, and test proceduresIntegrate, validate, and
verify system functionality in the labTechnical collaboration among
systems, hardware, and software design functions.Assist in
resolving technical problems that cross hardware and software
functional domain areas.Basic Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen
or Permanent Resident Green Card holderBachelor's degree and 2
years of prior relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 6
years of relevant experience is required Engineering/Other
Technical Positions: Bachelor's degree (typically in Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2
years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local
laws/regulations Familiarity with systems development process
including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration,
verification, and validation.Excellent communication skills to
communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral
form to internal and external customers.Adaptable to change,
determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule,
collaborate with teammates to make the best decisions, enjoy
learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a
positive work environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with
safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g.
DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A)Experience working with and testing
embedded hardware and softwareExperience developing automated tests
