If yes, this position is for you!TrueNorth Companies is looking for anAccount Executive to join our Construction Specialty team in Cedar Rapids, IA or Des Moines, IA.What You'll Do:The Account Executive's job is to maintain quality customer service with clients by providing consistent, timely and accurate service related to Risk Management accounts, insurance companies and/or producers. The Account Executive's role primary function is to serve as the operations liaison between TrueNorth and clients.Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:50/50 account management and sales for a Small Commercial book.Analyze new business prospects with program structure & market selection with producer assistanceComplete exposure risk analysis and stewardship reportingRound out existing accounts by proactively selling additional coverages or policies.Initiate contact with current clients, including some outbound calls, email and written correspondence to recommend and sell additional coverages as appropriate. Conduct annual insurance reviews.Assist in development/monitoring of service plans with producer/safety/claimsComplete onboarding/integration plans for new businessDiscuss/coordinate renewal strategy with client; producer to provide guidance as needed Coordinate proposal presentations and assist in presentations to clientsCommunicate effectively with clients, underwriters, and co-workers both in writing and verbally to achieve desired resultsMake coverage recommendations/suggestionsReview renewals with producers 90-120 days prior to renewal. Request necessary updates from the client and submit to account manager for marketingResearch and answer coverage questions from clients and producers; prepare any supporting documentationNegotiate with both insurance company underwriters and clients to obtain the best outcomes available considering all parties involvedEstablishes trust with Producer in order to achieve great experience for the client Increase industry and job knowledge as measured by attendance at continuing education, attaining or updating designations, and participation in other agency training offeringsParticipate in prospect, client and market visits in order to better assist external and internal customersTravel or visit insurance companies and/or clients, when necessary Education, Experience, and Skills:A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum of 3 years' experience in commercial insurance is preferredCommercial Insurance license required Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn and utilize other computer applicationsSelf-motivated, organized - must be able to manage projects and time independentlyAbility to operate in a fast-paced, energetic environmentExtremely accurate and detail-orientedAbility to analyze and interpret dataStrong and professional verbal and written communication skills; must have the ability to explain complex technical issues clearlyWhat TrueNorth Offers:TrueNorth offers a lineup of excellent benefits to all full-time employees, including:Annual BonusHybrid positions availableMedical, Dental, Vision401k, PTO, VTO, and 11 paid holidaysLife, AD, Disability, and Voluntary Long-Term CareIdentity Theft, Legal Protection, and Donation Match ProgramTuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and an Employee Wellness Program with great incentives.Why should you join TrueNorth?We are a company focused on developing our people and growing the business.
