Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Park and Recreation
Management, Aquatics, Business or a related field preferred or
equivalent work and educational experience with a minimum of 3
years in the Aquatics Industry is required. A minimum of 3 years of
prior Management experience strongly preferred. Must display
proficiency in maintaining proper water quality, pool equipment and
chemical controllers. Must have excellent customer service skills
with the ability to work well under pressure, respond quickly and
effectively manage emergencies. Must be organized and have
excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be
proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Budgeting, inventory control, cost control and staffing experience
preferred. Previous experience with human resources information
systems, payroll and scheduling software preferred. Must work a
variable schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Certifications: Must possess or must obtain within six months of
start date the following certifications: Aquatic Facility Operator
(AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Ellis Lifeguard/Safety &
Health Instructor Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator Essential
Functions: Oversee the daily operations of the waterpark. Promote,
adhere to and enforce compliance of Federal and State laws, company
policies/procedures and department policies/procedures, PA Child
Labor laws, Model Aquatics Health Code, ADA, and OSHA regulations.
Promote and adhere to the company mission, vision and core values.
Improve company operations and facility. Create, analyze and
implement staffing models. Maintain client relationships with
third-party organization and entities. Oversee and maintain
inventory. Adhere to and promote safety policies and programs of
the company. Ensure the safety of employees and guests by
maintaining the facility and equipment, conducting hazard
inspections, reviewing injury reports, recommending corrections and
follow up. Ensure water quality and waterpark facility is
maintained to proper standards by following procedures and making
adjustments as needed. Work with Waterpark Facilities Manager to
ensure water filtration system and other aquatic operating systems
are functioning properly. Create and maintain department manuals
and standard operating procedures. Responsible for the employment
cycle of waterpark employees including, but not limited to,
recruiting, interviewing, hiring, establishing/maintain job
descriptions, training, job assignments, discipline, performance
reviews, resignations and/or terminations. Provide Assistant
Director of Aquatics with guidance and training to maintain
operations in your absence. Address and resolve guest concerns and
complaints. Ensure all waterpark staff have proper, valid
licenses/certifications. Review and approve timesheets and manage
payroll according to company parameters. Attend approved
educational events, forums, seminars, webinars, and meetings to
maintain a knowledge of best practices. Investigate reported
occurrences of injury, theft, harassment, or any violation of
department or company polices or procedures. Serve on a rotating
Manager on Duty schedule as the primary management contact for the
Park when issues arise. Report any immediate or pressing issues to
the Park President or Vice President of Operations. Attend
recruiting and promotional events off site as directed. Provide
assistance to other departments as directed. Other
Responsibilities: Maintain and protect employee, customer, and
consumer confidentiality. Report to and from work at assigned time.
Complete other duties as assigned. Must be honest and reliable.
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support
to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
