EDS, and ROAAS Department is looking for a talented software
engineer to join our group creating cutting-edge technology. This
exciting opportunity requires an individual who has skills and
interests in software development, test, implementation and
integration activities. This individual will work in the department
designing and developing the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting
System software to support the ROAAS mandate across all Collins
business and regional platforms.This is an onsite position based in
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A comprehensive relocation package is
available.Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and verify software to support the ROAAS
products.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct tests and debug systems that
contain logical and mathematical solutions.Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced
Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR in
absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is
required.
- Ability to successfully employ systematic problem-solving
techniques for root cause analysis and improvement efforts. -
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork,
facilitation, and negotiation. -
- Ability to communicate concepts to a broad range of technical
and non-technical stakeholders. -
- Self-motivated and able to work under limited
supervisionPreferred Qualifications:
- Ability to follow the project's defined software process for
development, verification and configuration management.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers and generate a positive
team working environment.
- Willingness to learn and be flexible.
