You will be able to build great relationships with our residents, as you may serve your meals to them on occasion. No Late Nights! Position Type : Part-Time or Full-Time, working a varying schedule including days, evenings and weekends Starting Wage: $19 / hour Location : 1900 Stoney Point Rd SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 Cook Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional service to residents by leading and motivating team members to provide fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests. Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. This will also include feature/specials and grill service. Perform short-order & batch cooking. Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements. Wash dishes and clean kitchen. Review planned meals and take note of special diet requests. Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices. Follow and understand diet restrictions and modifications. Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community. Perform additional tasks as required. Cook Qualifications: 1 Year of Commercial Cooking Experience Required! Foodsafe certification is a plus! Ability to speak and read English. Must have basic math skills. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with others. Must be reliable and self-motivated. Background check will be required. Will need to wear a uniform.
