Cornell College invites applications for a full-time customer service specialist. This position is responsible for handling customer service activities related to student accounts and financial aid in a timely manner including phone calls, emails, and in-person requests; obtaining a general understanding of these departments and learning their applicable software systems in order to respond to student inquiries; and serving students, parents, faculty, and staff by answering questions, explaining regulations and procedures, and directing inquiries to appropriate offices, as well as ensuring that student records and personal information are kept safe and confidential. Requirements Associate's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field preferred with a minimum of three years of recent related work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A successful candidate for this position will have strong organizational and data entry skills, Microsoft Excel skills, a knowledge of general accounting policies and practices, and possess the ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and interact professionally with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
