Job Description Occupational Health Medical Assistant needed for a full-time temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Cedar Rapids, IA. Temp for 4 to 6 weeks to over a leave of absence. This is located at a smaller clinic that offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees of an aerospace and defense company. You'll be assisting the Nurses and covering both front and back office. > Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. Top Skills You Should Possess: Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA) highly preferred Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and must be a team player Looking for a responsible, friendly, and helpful employee What You’ll Be Doing: Administrative: Greet patients and check them in/out Answer phones and schedule appointments Outreach to employees for follow-up visits Maintain employee health records (using EPIC) Office organization like updating binders and ordering supplies Keep the Health Center Manager aware of upcoming due dates/document signatures needed, etc. Back Office: Room patients First-aid support (ie applying dressings) Conduct hearing exams (training will be provided) Urine dipstick Administer vaccines and pass out meds, as directed by the RN What You Need to Bring to the Table: BLS/CPR certified (hands on courses only - no online accepted) Yearly TB (PPD) or QuantiFeron Gold test Must be confident with front and back office responsibilities as you will be the only MA onsite supporting the Nurses Strong organizational skills and good at multi-tasking Proof of US Citizenship (ie valid US Passport or original US Birth Certificate) for security clearance/badging What’s In It For You?
