ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work with medical surgical patients including all surgical cases except orthopedic and spine procedures • Patient ratios: 1:4/5 during day shifts and 1:5/6 during night shifts • Float across Med Surg units throughout the hospital as required • Work with 46-bed unit capacity • Required to work weekends as scheduled • Dress code requires black or blue scrubs • Must have experience with drips including amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, dobutamine, and milrinone • Equipment experience required with chest tubes, JP drains, 3-way foley catheters, and NG tubes • Minimum 24 months of medical surgical experience required • Stepdown or PCU experience highly preferred • First-time travelers welcome • EPIC electronic medical system experience required • Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required • BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) certification required • Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months preferred Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical department with modern equipment and technology, including EPIC electronic medical records system.
