Summary: Ref : M-RN-294392 Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg/ED Job Type: Contract/Travel Start Date: ASAP Location: Fairfield, IA Shift Schedule: 6p-6a Shift Type: Nights Rate: $2,308/36-hours Requirements: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state. At least 1 year of Med Surg and/or Emergency Department experience preferred. Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced settings. Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation. BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC may be required per facility. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments, monitor condition changes, and document care accurately. Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and provide post-op/wound care. Triage patients, respond to emergencies, and assist with rapid assessments and interventions. Support trauma, cardiac, and critical patients according to emergency protocols. Collaborate with physicians and the care team for safe, coordinated patient care. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions. Maintain infection control, operate essential clinical equipment, and ensure a safe care environment.
