Registered Nurse Cedar Rapids, IA Specialty: Med Surg Position Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Pay: $2000 - $2409 | Shift: 3x12 Nights Are you a dedicated Med Surg nurse ready to take your career to the next level? This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your expertise in Med Surg, oncology, and neurology will be highly valued. As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for managing patient care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for your patients. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med Surg, oncology, and neurology units Administer medications such as heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management Float between Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 during days/evenings and 1:6 at nights Ensure proficiency in caring for neurology and oncology patients Adhere to dress code: navy or black tops and bottoms, solids Requirements: Minimum of 12 months Med Surg care experience 18 months nursing experience in a hospital/medical center setting Experience with EPIC EMR NIH Stroke Scale certificate (highly preferred, can obtain during onboarding) Current Iowa RN license and Nursys verification American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification Professional references from within the last 24 months (preferred) Apply today and let Capstone Health help you reach your full potential!
