Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work every other weekend schedule • No on-call responsibilities • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Medical Surgical experience required • First time travelers welcome • EPIC electronic medical systems experience required • Required to float across Med Surg units throughout the hospital • Patient ratios: 1:4/5 during day shifts; 1:5/6 during night shifts • Care for Med Surg patients and all surgical cases except ortho and spine • Work on 46-bed unit • Scrubs required: Black or Blue • Weekly orientation dates available every Monday • BLS (AHA) certification required • Iowa nursing license required • Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required • Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides a wide range of medical and surgical services to the community.
