Job Description:
Gastroenterologist Locums Job Monday through Monday Endo-Suite
Weekday Coverage 24-Hour Call Northern Iowa One to Two Weeks per
Month Jackson and Coker is partnered with a facility located just
north of Iowa City, Iowa that needs GI scoping & inpatient 24-hour
call coverage beginning in Q2 2026 (specific dates detailed below).
The client is willing to work with your specific availability
moving into Q3 however, is seeking 1 GI to pick up their specific
needs in April - June. Are you available? Dates of coverage needed
starting in Q2 2026: April 20 (7 AM) - April 27 (7 AM) May 18 (7
AM) - May 26 (7 AM) June 22 (7 AM) - June 29 (7 AM) Job
Requirements for Assignment : Iowa license DEA required (open to
considering candidates that have an active IMLC LOQ) Bread & Butter
GI scopes; ERCP preferred but not required Facility detail:
designated level III trauma center, 250 bed facility, EPIC EMR
Board Certification strongly preferred, will consider BE candidates
Anticipated Schedule: Will cover endo-suite scopes Monday - Friday,
starting at 7AM and last patient is generally scheduled at 3-3:30PM
(will have a 30 minute lunch break generally) Will cover night-call
each evening and weekend 24-hour call coverage starting Friday at
3:30pm until Monday at 7a Will do an average of 12-14 scopes per
day Averaging 30 minutes per scope Would ideally have a GI that
could do their own conscious sedation; However, they can also have
anesthesia administered if you're not comfortable Procedures to
anticipate in outpatient surgery setting: colonoscopies, EGD,
Gastroscopy, Sigmoidoscopies ERCP (if applicable - not a firm
requirement). No APP support in the endo-suite Jackson and Coker
