Wapiti Medical Staffing is seeking a physician (MD or DO) for locum tenens Emergency Department coverage in Cedar Falls, located in northeastern Iowa.PHYSICIAN DUTIES / FACILITY DETAILS

• Physician (MD or DO) for PRN locum shifts in ED.
• 12 and 24 hour shifts available (starting at 8:30); flexible scheduling
• 6,500 annual ED volume (15 patients per 24 hrs.)
• EMR is Cerner (training provided)
• Typical timeline for credential 2 months.PHYSICIAN (MD/DO) QUALIFICATIONS
  • Iowa medical license and DEA/CSA
  • Must be board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (EM), Family Medicine (FM), or Internal Medicine (IM); American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS) is not accepted
  • Third-year EM medical residents will be considered with documentation of good standing, per residency program director.
  • Required life support certifications include ATLS, ACLS & PALS is waived for ABEM & AOBEM. ATLS is waived for ABPS EM physicians must maintain ACLS & PALS.
  • Mandatory Reporters Training of dependent adult & child abuse (MRT) required
  • COVID 19 vaccine required
