Job Description:

Emergency Medicine opening in Dyersville, Iowa.

• Role: Emergency Room & Inpatient
• willing to consider locum, locum to perm, and perm candidates
• Dates of coverage: PRN
• Schedule: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, or 7a-7a (48 hour shift max length)
• Total number of beds: 20
• Average daily census: 4
• Annual ER Volume: 1451 last calendar year
• No supervision required
• EMR: Cerner
• Responds to codes - all hands on deck for any codes
• Trauma level: 4
• No labor and delivery on site - only delivered in emergent circumstances and then transferred to tertiary facility
• If we cannot handle a patient due to complexity or diagnosis, the patient is referred to the other facilities. Primary facility is MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center: 20 miles away. If MercyOne Dubuque cannot accept and/or treat for various reasons, then other referrals are sent
• Additional practice details listed in attached job description
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 4-8 weeks
• Must be local - will only reimburse for mileage
• They do have a call room available for providers on shift
