Job Description:

Hospitalist candidates needed for weekend coverage in East Iowa, near the Mississippi River. Dates Needed:

• March 3-5 (weekend)
• March 16
• March 27
• March 31-April 2 (weekend) Details:
  • BC Family / Internal Medicine
  • Call on weekends (7:30a Fri - 7:30a Mon)
  • Weekdays are 7:30a-7:30p
  • 8:00 AM Friday to 8:00 AM Monday Morning rounds and then call
  • Inpatient admitting, rounding and backing up the NP in the ED
  • APPs provide coverage 24/7
  • Patient population: adult, pediatric, medicine, trauma
  • Solo coverage - only Hospitalist during coverage
  • 1-2 admissions per day; 0 ICU; 5-6 inpatients
  • Will respond to house codes
  • Will cover Patient Care Unit on the 2nd floor of the hospital
  • Will be responsible for supervising other healthcare providers
  • EMR: Epic
  • Trauma level 4
  • Required procedures: Non-Invasive Vent Management (bipap/cpap), Intubation (ETT/INT), Chest Tube insertion, Central Line, PICC Line, Newborn Resuscitation, General Inpatient pediatrics, Non-displaced fractures, suturing of minor lacerations, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, EKG interpretation
  • 90 day credentialing timeline, but able to grant temp privileges in 2 weeks, if needed
  • $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
