Job Description:

Our Recreation Therapists are key in assisting with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of our residents as well as small and large group wellness programs.

The primary duties of this position include:

* Coordinating calendar planning for residents. - This includes coordinating non-recreation staff led programming.
* Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wellness programming in all levels of care according to the residents' needs, interests, and desires. -Including developing new ideas and assisting with the purchase of supplies.
* Assisting in completing assessments and resident documentation, in accordance with the Iowa State Department of Inspections and Appeals regulations for the Woodlands.
* Assisting and working with residents on an individual basis as needed.
* Participating in Resident Care Conferences, family conferences, team meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
* Assisting with evaluating programming by recording attendance, quality of resident's time, improvements to be made, progress notes, etc.
* Informing, reminding, and encouraging residents to participate in wellness programming through various methods as appropriate (i.e. calendar, room-to-room reminders, personal invitations, etc.).

This full-time position will work weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some evening or weekend shifts.
