Together, we accelerate the discovery, development and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety ManagerLocation: Coralville, IAThe Manager of Environment, Health & Safety is responsible for oversight and implementation of all Environment, Health, Safety and related regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, identify EHS performance gaps, and reduce risks at IDT's Coralville Operations. The scope of this role covers the Coralville, IA Manufacturing Sites, Service & Warehouse facilities, and all IDT support functions. -Job Specific Duties

• Manages the overall EH&S Program at the site.
• Supervises and directs staff which would include employee hiring, training, development, and performance management. - -
• Ensures facility-wide compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements; and IDT EH&S Policies
• Manages and executes the IDT EH&S Audit and Inspection Program.
• Coordinates with external agencies as part of emergency planning and EH&S program maintenance, or in response to inspections or audits.
• Manages all OSHA reporting and workers' compensation program.
• Oversees the EH&S Committee and leads all committee/sub-committee meetings.
• Organize the daily workflow and facilitate the preparation and reporting of department metrics. Utilize daily management with the help of the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools. - -
• Partners with business/functional/DBS leaders on the development and implementation of action plans that drive closure of open issues and improvements in safety performance and environmental controls.
• Oversees the EPA regulatory reporting (RCRA, EPCRA, etc.).
• Actively participates as a key member of the site's Sustainability / Greenhouse Gas Reduction Committee.
• Oversees the EH&S training program; identify training gaps and optimal methods for monitoring and measuring training effectiveness. - Document and maintain appropriate EH&S records.
• Maintains confidential information in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Demonstrates and upholds behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values and delivers the Integrated DNA Technologies experience to customers and other business associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering related field (Required)
  • Advanced Degree in a Science or Engineering related field (Preferred)
  • Professional Certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) (Preferred)Professional Experience
    • 4-6 years in a manufacturing environment (Required)
    • Minimum of 3 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety and/or relevant experience as a Manager, Team Lead or prior related experience (Required)
    • Working knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements. (Required)
    • Experience with the Danaher Business System (Preferred)
    • Working knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 (Preferred)Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
