Description:First MainStreet Insurance is looking for an enthusiastic Director of Human Resources to support leadership and associates by providing consultation and guidance and action on various human resources matters such as staffing plans, associate relations, compensations, benefits, training and development as well as any strategic business initiatives impacting the business and/or the associates. Essential Job Functions & ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources ManagementAdministers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and proceduresWorks with Legal department to prepare and maintain employee handbookResponsible for HR Strategies, onboarding and training, development, and performance management of all associatesStay apprised of legislative, legal, and regulatory changes/requirements to ensure compliance with state and federal lawsParticipate in developing the HR budget and ensure achievement of such budget annuallyLead discovery/due diligence process with M&As. Collaborate with agency and legal to make recommendations for benefit integration of acquired companies. Employee RelationsFoster and represent our Core Values and culture through effective application of policies and procedures as well as via associate events and recognition programsEngage, support and represent the local community in alignment with our local agenciesConducts investigations related to employee complaints or concerns that are brought forthCoaches/guides leaders to address disciplinary and other employment issuesRequirements:Education & ExperienceAssociates degree or 4-year college degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years Human Resources experiencePHR and/or SHRM-CP certification or ability to maintain within first year of employment, maintained annuallyPI201858672
