Position Summary:

The Quality Manager will function as Geater's Management Representative responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System and liaison with internal and external parties on all quality matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain and Improve the Quality Management System to meet the requirements and standards currently in effect for the industry and the Quality Policy and Objectives of the company
• Maintain a Quality Manual that documents the company's Quality Management System and describes the company's quality policies, practices and procedures
• Provide Quality Management support to the Management Team
• Maintain excellent working relationships and communication channels between Quality Management and all other functional areas
• Recommend process improvements or corrections to management
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity's relating to product, process and quality system
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
• Develops, implements and manages total quality programs, policies, and initiatives to improve the production process
• Ensure all employees conform to the policies, practices and procedures of the Quality Management System
• Confer with managers and supervisors to coordinate activities and resolve quality problems
• Establish and implement an Internal Audit Program including preparation of audit schedules and ensuring at least two individuals are trained as internal auditors
• Review and monitor all nonconformance reports and the corrective actions and provide management with summary reports
• Establish and maintain proper Document Control as required by the standard
• Establish measures to track quality and operational performance
• Maintain the company's registrations to the Quality Standards as required
• Measure and report to the Management team, for review, on the performance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System to meet the requirements of the standard and achieve the Quality Objectives of the company
• Liaison with external parties on all matters relating to the Quality System
• Provide training to all employees on all aspects of the Quality Management System as required
• Manage and develop the team that reports to the Quality Manager
• Travel to customers and suppliers will be required as needed

  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • In depth knowledge manufacturing processes
  • Work well in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills, maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn
    Education and/or Experience:
    
    • High school Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or 3 to 5 years equivalent experience
    • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and quality requirements and experience
      Physical Demands Include:
      
      • Sitting, standing, and walking.
      • Use of hands and arms to operate office equipment.
      • Being able to see (20/25 vision with glasses, 20/25 without) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations.
