The role involves maintaining and repairing diesel engines to enhance fleet efficiency and reliability. This position is crucial in minimizing downtime and ensuring that our transportation services meet the high standards expected by our clients. The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of technical skills and a commitment to quality, supporting Ryder's mission to drive forward supply chain solutions through excellence and innovation. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic systems. Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule maintenance and minimize vehicle downtime. Keep detailed records of serviced vehicles and repairs. Comply with safety protocols and regulations at all times. In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and systems. Experience with diagnostic tools and software used in vehicle repairs. Ability to work independently and make decisions based on analyses. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Capability to handle physical demands of working with heavy machinery. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification highly preferred. Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
