flight and missions? Your software will take off and fly (and
land). In this project engineering role, you will contribute to the
leadership of the ARINC 661 Services team. The AGS is a product
line that is deployed on several different Business Jets and
Regional Aircraft, Military Aircraft, and Commercial Aircraft. The
Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting
status for the full life cycle for assigned program(s). They will
be viewed as a leader of the team and define priorities for and
provide mentoring/guidance to team members. The Engineer may also
contribute to requirements capture and design and develop embedded
software in C++ and test/verify the developed software to Design
Assurance Level A fidelity per DO-178C standard.Our department
continues to push the technology envelope for processing
technologies in everything from operating systems to user
applications and the middleware that binds these together.This
position is eligible for relocation.What YOU will do:
- You will bid/plan/manage the execution of software deliveries
for multiple projects.
- You will have ownership of software documentation for the
software verification lifecycle artifacts.
- You will specify requirements, implement software, develop test
procedures, perform verification, and complete artifacts for
certification.
- You will work with significant autonomy with some mentoring and
oversight from a manager.
- You will take ownership of the technical, schedule, and cost
aspects of team tasks and complete work in accordance with the
project plan while assisting others in task planning and
execution.
- You will contribute to the development of a project plan,
including estimating task size, working dependencies, and
discovering risks and opportunities.
- You will lead, an engineering team by organizing tasks,
coordinating team efforts, asking questions, communicating status,
raising issues, brainstorming ideas, helping others, practicing
active listening, and promoting a collaborative environment.What

- You will learn how to manage multiple competing priorities to
deliver a high quality product to multiple customers.
- You will learn all phases of the software product life cycle
from requirements through to verification, while employing the
company software engineering processes to produce high quality
products.
- You will learn the artifacts and aspects of product
certification required by federal agencies.

in our industry.Education & Experience:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree
in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence
of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or
asylee.

Skills You Must Have:
- 2+ years' hands on experience through multiple life cycles of a
development process.
- You must have the ability to identify complex problems,
evaluate options, and develop solutions for software executing on
real-time operating systems. -
- You must be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in
the planning, design, and development of solutions.
- You must be able to organize and clearly communicate large sets
of tasks into plans.Skills We Value:
- 2+ years DO-178B experience (DAL A preferred)
- 5+ years' Experience with software engineering processes and
procedures, including writing software requirements, software
design and implementation, functional and integration testing,
writing test cases and test procedures, and software delivery
support.
