Job Description:
Actalent is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team
in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Area. This role will be supporting
the development of the manufacturing processes around a specific
product for an industry leading company that fosters long-term
growth. Description: --- Responsible for engineering and project
administration activities related to specific circuit breaker
product families. --- Perform engineering analyses, including
thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural, using experience
applying basic engineering principles. --- Ensure compliance with
specific ratings, product specifications, and standards
requirements. --- Participate in cross-functional teams with
Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and procurement functions. ---
Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line
production --- Support design activities, such as brainstorming,
database management and development, design/peer reviews, and
general analysis, including tolerance analysis, using experience
with basic machine design. --- Ensure products meet requirements
for Design for Manufacturing (DFM). --- Assist in root cause
analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes Skills &
