"Advance" with a growing company that needs a key person to add to our Design Engineering Dept. This is a great opportunity to work in a position that will focus on our final assembly/install process. Skills You Need:* Minimum five years' experience preferred but not opposed to training the right graduate.* Possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.* PE License preferred but not necessary.* Experience in Inventor/Vault or SolidWorks CAD programs along with working knowledge of spreadsheet & work processing programs as Excel & Word.* Strong communication skills* Ability to think quickly & make common sense decisions on design while keeping product liability & end user design in mind.Your Responsibilities:* Perform lay out design of our product & features & how they will be installed to a truck chassis,--tanker trailer or skid mount.* Analyze power train equipment to be operated & calculate all required loads & limits.* Prepare & update new and existing electrical schematics that can include more complex remote control systems & truck chassis wiring integration.* Research truck chassis body builder wiring procedures.* Prepare a detailer bill of material for the complete project utilizing standard packages & past history.* Prepare detailed blueprints & written instructions for production personnel assigned to the project.* Be available to production personnel for pre-project plan builds & questions during the project.What You'll Get:This position will never be a "sit in a cubicle" all the time position. At Advance Pump, you will have the independence to design and research a whole world of options, features and new techniques and be responsible in the application of these ideas directly to our production dept. You will not just be designing little parts all day, here you'll be designing the entire piece of equipment and have the pride upon completion that it was built well for our customers. Compensation/Benefit packages are based on experience in a related field, level of education & any additional licensees, etc. This position may require opportunity of travel nationwide and possibly to other countries if necessary to assist our sales team on custom projects and large accounts or to attend industry trade shows.
