Description Interested in working with events occurring in Downtown Cedar Rapids? Join our Team by becoming an EVENT PARKING AMBASSADOR. This is a part-time position with extremely flexible hours! Assisting our guests with parking and cashiering during busy events in downtown Cedar Rapids. We are looking for outgoing individuals who are comfortable with working partially outside, cash handling, working with our customers and assisting them with their parking needs. Hours vary from week to week and include mostly nights and weekends. Based on availability there may be daytime hours available to supplement your weekly pay. Must be 18 years of age or older. Qualifications SKILLS: • Customer Service: It is important that you remember how important your actions are. They are a reflection of the company’s attitude toward customer service. This position requires our staff to be courteous and helpful to event parkers at all times. You will be expected to smile and say hello to each customer, and effectively communicate information regarding changing rules, prices, regulations and procedures. o You will be required to work with customers directly face-to-face and respond to their needs accordingly, each interaction with a customer is about 15-30 seconds on average. You may be required at any given time to leave your work area and go to where the customer may be located. This could include walking to another facility. From time to time, assisting customers in this manner will also require that you stand for extended periods of time. o Park Cedar Rapids is a small, fun and close team- which requires the applicant to work well with a team as well as on their own. REQUIREMENTS: • Enjoy brief interactions with customers • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and ability to work with potentially challenging customers • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. • Available to work nights and weekends, as many downtown events take place during these times
