  • Manage standard cost process for site by accurately costing multiple finished goods on an annual and periodic basis
  • Manage plant allocation process that drives business unit/product line reporting
  • Support month-end close activities including plant monthly variance reporting and ensure proper presentation of financial results
  • Analyze cost trends and variances and propose recommendations for cost savings
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports
  • Ensure best-practice financial controls are in place, being followed and align with financial control framework
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Prepare all standard costs for site produced items including bills of materials and routings. All costs, bills and routing are entered into the ERP system
  • Assist with costing at other facilitiesProcess Improvement
    • Identify and lead process improvements/projects
    • Develop system reports for manufacturing and financePlanning
      • Assist with annual operating budget development, RM and FG cost standards and capital budget by established deadlines with detail sufficient to assist in analysis.
      • Assist with monthly and quarterly forecasting requirements by established deadlinesAnalysis
        • Proactively pursue cost reduction opportunities and plant efficiency improvements.
        • Ensure all material variances are analyzed, documented and discrepancies documented with recommendations as appropriate
        • Assist in the development of rolling IBP forecasts providing analysis and insight on changing cost / business parameters
        • Assist with establishing cost standards for all new products and analyze proposed changes in existing productsHuman Resources
          • Comply with HR policies and procedures
          • Comply with relevant employment lawsOther
            • Assist Corporate Finance department with ERP system upgrades and testing
            • Assist in managing and identifying ERP changes and related queries
            • Other duties as assigned QualificationsA combination of the listed skills and knowledge is preferred
              • Bachelor's degree in accounting with emphasis in general and cost accounting areas
              • Minimum of 3 years' costing experience in a manufacturing company
              • Knowledge of ERP systems
              • Experience managing costs for over 100 finished goods and raw materials
              • Strong reconciliation, analytical, attention to detail, problem solving and organization skills
              • Effective use of interpersonal skills to achieve common organizational objectives
              • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel, general ledger systems and Power BI reporting
