GreenState Credit UnionDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion CoordinatorUS-IA-North LibertyJob ID: 2021-3073Type: Exempt Full-Time# of Openings: 1Category: Human ResourcesGreenState Credit UnionOverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator (DEI) is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of GreenState's DEI strategic roadmap. You will create and advance a comprehensive set of programs and resources that will support the Credit Union's DEI strategy and enhance employee culture. The DEI Coordinator will lead cultural and organizational change to build an environment where employees representing diverse backgrounds can authentically thrive and contribute. In this role you will partner closely with internal and external partners to ensure DEI is integrated into employee engagement and GreenState's culture. This position will work closely with the organizations DEI committee and ERGs will serving as a subject matter expert and advisor to all levels of the organization.   • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision.
  • Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensures confidentiality of member information
  • Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Leads and provides oversight to the Credit Union's DEI Committee and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), providing leadership and consultative support in efforts to foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture and increase engagement, awareness, and education throughout GreenState.
  • Partner with leadership to update and execute the Credit Union's DEI Roadmap, ensuring a strategic approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion from the lens of an employer, a community partner, and a financial services provider. Develop metrics and analyze results to access the effectiveness of DEI action steps.
  • Partner with Human Resources on internal policies and procedures to ensure equity among a diverse and growing employee base. Develop programs and tools to recruit, retain and develop diverse talent, including fostering partnerships within the community to grow a pipeline of diverse candidates.
  • Ensure regular reporting on diversity measures, establishing baselines and targets against internal goals and external benchmarks. Lead the Credit Union's efforts to participate in industry surveys and assessments, communicating results, and working with leadership to establish action plans.
  • Assists and leads the creation of presentation and training materials to support DEI efforts.
  • Build partnerships with external DEI organizations and represent GreenState on various internal and external committees focused on DEI. Develop and present on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics within the organization
  • Remains knowledgeable about diversity program and developments by maintaining contact with others specific to the subject (i.e., professional associations/development, education groups).QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS:1. Bachelor's degree and 4-5 years of demonstrated experience in DEI or equivalent work, including developing and implementing workplace programs required.2. In lieu of degree, 7 years of experience as stated above.3. Strong problem solver with a focus on empathy and ability to adapt to a diverse base (speak on behalf of everyone, not just with the group you identify with most).4. Exceptional interpersonal skills and high EQ. Experience in working effectively and influencing decision makers with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.5. Financial services industry experience preferred.6. Ability to perform job responsibilities with discretion and judgment.7. Strong organizational skills and ability to follow up on assigned tasks and document activities. 8. Ability to work with highly confidential information in a discretionary manner. 9. Good analytical skills with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.10. Ability to complete tasks with minimal to moderate supervision. Reporting RelationshipThis position reports to the Chief Human Resource/Information Officer.
